Week 10th – 12th
February
Hi, everybody! How are you?
Today is sunny and windy. It rained a lot
last night but we have sunshine and, although it’s
a little cold, the afternoon looks nice!
Last week we learnt a lot of vocabulary
related to the weather. Remember:
We ask about the weather like
this: ‘What’s
the weather like?’ It’s …

We listened to the weather news about a
hurricane in Miami.
This week we finished talking about work and

We also read the descriptions of some jobs:
Shop assistant: What do I
do? In my job you
have to
get up early and serve customers. I have 40
or 50 regulars who always shop with me. My wife and I have to work
as a team because the stall is too busy for one person.
Doctor: I have to work long hours.
Sometimes I work for 36 hours without a break. I don’t have to give
presentations but I have to meet patients. I usually see between 80
and 90 a day.
Sales Rep. (representative): He has to travel
round the country. He has a car and does about 1,000 km a week. Does he have to
use the phone? No, his assistant has to arrange
meetings with companies.
And that was all. See you on Tuesday!
